HCM City exports rise 21.7%

HCM CITY –The southern hub of HCM City generated over US$15 billion in exports during the first seven months of this year, a surge of 21.7 per cent against the same period last year, according to the municipal Statistics Office's figures. During the period, exports in the State-owned sector rose by 22.5 per cent, while the foreign-invested sector was up 19.4 per cent. The city's total export value is expected to reach about $23.5 billion by the year-end, up 12.1 per cent against the previous year.
